It was an outstanding show featuring Norwegian rosemaling. On opening day Gold Medallist Joanne MacVey was present to autograph copies of her new book "Rosemaling Heirlooms of Tomorrow" . This year the Show had a beautiul "new" look. Rosemaling demonstrations were given both indoors and out on the corner of Third and Franklin. A BarneLekeplass children's play space was a new feature as well. INRA members entered their painted items into competition. Competition categories were: Professional, Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner and Golden Agers. Gold Medallists* Jean Giese and Irene Lamont judged the competition, and ribbons were awarded to the show winners. In addition to the competition pieces, rosemaled objects as large as tables and cupboards and as small as Christmas ornaments were beautifully displayed and available for purchase. 100s of rosemaled items were sold. Included in the sale were items painted by beginners through professional painters. Other Show and Sale features were: the raffle of a large plate rosemaled by Nancy Schmidt, Husfliden , and a coffee shop, Kaffekos , where tasty, home-made Norwegian bakery items were enjoyed.
Eager crowds came to view the beautiful rosemaling and purchase "For Sale" items'
