You can learn to rosemal.
Just start taking a few classes with the Illinois Norsk Rosemalers and you’ll learn the necessary strokes needed to create your own pieces of art.
Norwegian rosemaling is created with “s” and “c” strokes and a bit of linework. Choosing traditional background colors and mixing a truly Norsk color palette is an important part of the lesson.

Yes, landscapes are often included in rosemaling design. In this class an 18 x 22 inch canvas will be used. The cost for the canvas is in addition to the fee. A Norwegian Scene will be painted. Bring your oils and brushes. An easel is required equipment.

"Paint it. Take it." Rosemaling Classes - Saturdays: in Geneva, IL
"Paint it. Take it" are designed specifically for those interested in "trying" rosemaling for the first time and for any who are interested in building or maintaining their skills.
Cost is only $15.00 per class. Winter dates are: January 16, February 6, March 6, April 17.

Rosemaling Opportunity
Thursdays: This is not a class, but a chance to get together and paint every Thursday (almost) from 9:30 am to 4 p.m.
at the Newark Fire House meeting room, Newark, Il.
Everyone is welcome. The W.O.W. group would love to have more people join.
